DEADLINE: ASJA Crisis Coverage Awards: COVID-19 Edition
The American Society of Journalists and Authors (ASJA) has launched the Crisis Coverage Awards: COVID-19 Edition, the first-ever awards program recognizing professional writers for their coverage of the COVID-19 outbreak. The contest is now open, and submissions will be accepted until July 3, 2020.
Writers are invited to submit English-language articles, including self-nominations, published between January 1 and June 30, 2020. ASJA teams of leading journalists will judge submissions based on quality of writing and reporting and whether new information was provided or a familiar concept was given a fresh perspective.
Submissions for this first round must be published in English anywhere in the world between January 1 and June 30, 2020. Articles that are self-nominated will receive full consideration. See rules and pricing below. Submission fees will be divided between CASH PRIZES, the Writers Emergency Assistance Fund (WEAF) and ASJA operations.
