Get expert help navigating the complex landscape of climate change science and policy in this one-day masterclass, Covering Climate Change Science and Policy in a Polarized World, while exploring resources and tools that can deeply inform and improve your reporting.

This one-day, in-person free workshop at the RAND Corporation in Arlington, Virginia, will give journalists access to and information from some of the nation’s leading climate change analysts.

RAND — a nonprofit, nonpartisan global research organization that tackles the world’s toughest problems — is sponsoring this training in partnership with Poynter to advance journalists’ understanding of climate change using the most reliable and scientifically accurate information available today.

The sessions will include lectures and group discussions, as well as breakout sessions and opportunities to connect one-on-one with RAND policy experts.

Speakers include Benjamin Preston, senior policy researcher and director of community health and environmental policy program; and Aimee E. Curtright, senior scientist. Both are professors at the Pardee RAND Graduate School.

Lunch, coffee and snacks will be provided, and parking is free. (More information on parking and directions will be provided after registration.)
