"Ken Feinberg Offers Third Option for Gulf Oil Spill Claims Payments"

"Gulf oil spill claims czar Kenneth Feinberg introduced a new option Monday to the 170,000 claimants who have already received an emergency payment, offering 'quick' payments of $5,000 to individuals and $25,000 to businesses who are willing to sign away their rights to sue."

US CSB Deep Water Horizon Public Hearing

The U.S. Chemical Safety Board, an independent federal agency charged with investigating chemical accidents, will hold a public hearing Wednesday, December 15, 2010, as part of its ongoing investigation into the causes of the BP Deepwater Horizon drilling rig explosion and fire which occurred on April 20, 2010, killing eleven workers.
