The 2024 ESA meeting will be held in Long Beach, Calif., with sessions featuring research relevant to both regional and global environmental issues. Press are invited to attend for free. This year’s opening plenary features Jackie Grant, the Executive Director of Grand Staircase Escalante Partners.

This Environmental History conference in Madison — “From the Local to the Global: Ethics, Environmentalism, and Environmental History in an Interdependent World” — will include a plenary session on Rachel Carson in honor of the 50th anniversary of the publication of Silent Spring, along with 100 sessions and 10 field trips exploring John Muir's boyhood home, the Leopold Shack, and more.

In its 7th year, the MIT Energy Conference is an annual two-day conference that brings together leaders in the fields of technology, policy, industry, and finance to explore solutions to the world’s most pressing energy challenges.

Within the green building industry, there is an increasing focus on policy, standards, and interoperability of building data.  Our intent is to look at the potential data pool for the entire industry. The first event in this effort is this 2-hour discussion at the NY Academy of Sciences, which will outline the state of the industry and explore both the move towards data analytics and the current state of data utilization in the real estate industry. A full-day conference on Data Analytics in the Built Environment will be held April 30th.

The second installment of The New York Academy of Sciences' and The Nature Conservancy's four-part series Discourses on Nature and Society.

Join marine biologist Dr. Sarah Frias-Torres, Ocean Research & Conservation Association (ORCA) fellow, and invited speaker at the SEJ conference, as she dives to film and study the goliath groupers. This trip is organized by Dr. Frias-Torres and is independent from the SEJ conference and outside the official program. However, to facilitate logistics, the fieldtrip is planned for Thursday October 20, which coincides with the conference official day tours. REGISTER BY OCTOBER 14th.
